A Word from the Head

Lyndhurst School: Boys and girls are accepted from the age of 2 into the small, happy and friendly Nursery Department, which operates 50 weeks a year. From here until they leave the school at the age of 11, every care is taken to realise the full potential of each child. The Headmaster's wife looks after the welfare of the children.

The school maintains a high academic standard but children of all abilities are welcomed and are taught in a sympathetic environment.

Music and drama play an important role in the life of the School and swimming is part of the weekly curriculum.

Sports and activities offered include soccer, cricket, netball, rounders, hockey, judo, gymnastics, Music Theatre.

Most children enter their senior schools at 11 and Lyndhurst has an enviable record of exam successes over the years.

Entry to the School can be at any age if there is a vacancy. One internal scholarship is awarded annually for academic achievement and one external when there is a place available.
