Kilgraston is set amid 54 acres of stunning Scottish countryside at Bride of Earn just three miles from the centre of Perth, 40 minutes north of Edinburgh and an hour's drive from Glasgow. Mountains, lakes, rivers and ski slopes are close by and this gentle setting provides the perfect environment for concentrated yet easy learning.

Kilgraston is Scotland’s leading boarding school for girls aged 2½ - 18 and day boys 2½ - 9. The school follows the Scottish curriculum with the girls taking Standard Grade (GCSE equivalent) followed by Highers and Advanced Highers (A Level equivalent) during their two years in the Sixth Form. During the academic year 2005/2006 Kilgraston achieved third place in the national league table of Advanced Highers.

High academic excellence is a priority at Kilgraston with Upper Sixth leavers progressing to some of the best universities across the UK and beyond. Destinations in recent years have included: Oxford and Cambridge as well as Aberdeen, Bath, Durham, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Newcastle and St Andrews to name just a few. The choice of courses covers a broad spectrum: medicine, veterinary science, natural sciences, modern languages, history, mathematics, psychology, law etc.

Kilgraston has a strong reputation for art, drama and music which play an important part of life at the school. The orchestra and string group, choirs, rock group and samba band give opportunities for the girls to perform throughout the year. The Art Department is housed at the top of the mansion with superb views and the school boasts an impressive number of past pupils who are practicing professional artists. A new theatre with state of the art audio visual facilities was opened in 2005.

Sports and Recreation are catered for with an indoor sports hall with climbing wall and fitness suite. The extensive grounds incorporate nine floodlit all weather courts, playing fields and an athletics track and an indoor swimming pool complex will be open by early 2008. Kilgraston is the only school in Scotland with an Equestrian Centre with livery on campus and the school hosts a major equestrian event each year. The girls are encouraged to use all of the school’s faculties not only for curriculum lessons but also for leisure activities and many take part in the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme.
