A Word from the Head

At Ipswich School we offer our pupils a supportive environment that encourages them to enjoy learning, grow in self-confidence and acquire a wide range of worthwhile interests. We believe that school should be a happy place where pupils receive a broad education that fires their imagination and develops their personality. High academic expectations are complemented by the development of values and skills that give them firm foundations for adult life. We aim to help our boys and girls to grow in self-confidence, to take on responsibility and to enjoy the wealth of opportunity open to them. Rich cultural and sporting programmes encourage all pupils to cultivate a wide range of worthwhile interests. Our boys and girls are members of either the Preparatory School (Nursery-Year 6, ages 3-11), or the Senior School for 11 to 18 year olds. We warmly welcome visits from parents and children, and we look forward to showing you round, discussing your aspirations and identifying what we can offer each individual boy and girl. The Preparatory School is housed in purpose-built accommodation with state of the art facilities which include science, ICT, Art, Music and Drama rooms.
